Commercial lines — Jackson, MS & Mississippi

Commercial Property Insurance

Protection for your building, equipment, inventory, and income when a fire, storm, or breakdown interrupts business — quoted right for Mississippi's weather realities.

Start my quote

Commercial property insurance covers the physical things your business depends on — the building, equipment, furniture, inventory, and the income you'd lose while repairs happen. Whether you own your building in downtown Jackson or lease space in the metro, what's inside the walls is your financial responsibility.

We help you value your property correctly, choose between replacement-cost and actual-cash-value settlements, and make sure business interruption coverage reflects what a shutdown — from a burst pipe to a Mississippi hurricane — would really cost you.

What commercial property covers

The protection, piece by piece.

Building

Covers the structure you own — walls, roof, and permanently installed fixtures — against fire, windstorm, hail, vandalism, and other covered perils.

Business personal property

Covers what's inside: furniture, fixtures, equipment, machinery, and inventory you own or lease.

Business income & extra expense

Pays lost income and the extra costs of operating from a temporary location while your property is repaired after a covered loss.

Equipment breakdown

Covers mechanical and electrical breakdown of equipment — HVAC, refrigeration, production machinery — including the property damage and lost income that follow.

Signs, fences & outdoor property

Extends coverage to signage, fences, and outdoor structures on your premises that standard building coverage may not fully address.

Worth knowing

Details that make the difference.

Replacement cost beats actual cash value

Actual cash value subtracts depreciation — meaning older equipment pays out pennies on the dollar. Replacement cost pays what it costs to replace it new. The premium difference is usually small relative to the claim difference.

Coinsurance is a trap

If your coverage amount is below the required percentage of your property's value, a claim payment is reduced proportionally. We make sure your limits avoid the penalty.

Flood and earthquake are separate

Standard property policies exclude flood and earthquake — and in Mississippi, flood and named-storm exposure shape what commercial property costs from the Pearl River basin to the Coast. If your location calls for either, we'll quote standalone coverage.

Inventory valuations need updating

Seasonal inventory swings and growth change your exposure. An annual review keeps your limits matched to what's actually on hand.
